Stony
Brook University Hospital Department of AnesthesiologyThe Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology includes the faculty listed
below; all have fellowship training specifically in caring for
children. Fellows have completed the standard training of 4 years to
become an anesthesiologist, but then take an additional one-year of
training focused exclusively on children.
Some of the division members devote a portion of their clinical time to
caring for children with congenital heart disease who often require
highly complex surgical procedures.
The members of the Division of Pediatric Anesthesiology communicate
with our pediatric surgical colleagues before, during, and after
surgery. We share a common interest in continuously evaluating how we
can do things better.
