Residents now use computers in the OR for a variety of tasks
including e-mail, patient statistics, credentialing and education.
Recently, some of the Residents expressed interest in having a central
website, or portal, containing links to all of these sites that they
frequently visit.
Thus was the Resident Access Portal born.
The Portal has been operating since September 2005. Its web
counter shows that it is used by many of the Residents on a daily
basis.
You are welcome to look at the front page of the Resident
Access Portal. However, most of the links on the page are password
protected so you will have to wait until you join the department in
order to appreciate the benefits of the Portal!
The Portal is updated whenever a Resident suggests an additional
link. The Portal, as well as the Internet and Intranet websites, are
maintained by James P. Dilger,
