A Factory Ooopsie: the slot in the reinforcing foam vacuumed into the wing skin was offset an inch from it's proper location over the aileron weight boxs. |

Here's the factory approved fix: scrape the foam out, then 2 plies of BID. Of course my hand slipped just a bit and I cut the outer skin surface as you can see in one of the four fix sites. Fortunately, we composite folks know it can be fixed. In an RV, I'd have to toss the skin in the recycle pile. |
